I have only been working for Wilkes County Adult Care for a month or so now. They new people are great, they have made changes over the last few weeks that are great.. There is this one big guy that works for the new company, not sure of his name but he is really nice, and cute too. I really think he will make things better. I do know that the food is getting much better. I did not see the old lady in the office yesterday, not sure if she is still there or not.

Has employees been able to get their checks cashed yet??

Same one that owns Piedmont Village in Yadkin and Cedar Creek, I think the creek is in Marion

Petty good day, other than the fact that the administrator spent the day lying and sucking up to the new people! I hope they see her truuuue colors

New owners....hoping for new director! The rumor with us staff is that she is a trouble maker. She even takes food and items from the center to her own home, and then claims the company didn"t buy them for her. She wants attention. We laugh and say....if her mouth is moving....better watch out....it's a lie. We love our jobs or we wouldn't stay here. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

What about people getting the money from the other owner?Was u able to get ur check cash?

I hope everyone can get paid on time now. from what i was told you will not be able to get the checks from the 23rd or the 8th cashed!!!

I was informed that this place is getting ready to have new owners. Dian had a meeting with her staff about this. I think they need a new director as well!!

my grandpa was there we went there one day and he kept tellin usthat someone was stealing his money out of his drawer cause they r suppose to give them a little money of their own to carry to make them feel like they r doin good, so me & my dad went to office and askthe lay how much money that my grandpa had and she came back sayin he has .02 cents in his account and he just got his check the day b4 he hadnt went to no dr appts or nothin come to find out they were using the residents money at that time to pay what emploees they could, now the question is y isnt the emploees getting paid thats because KEN HODGES IS NOT PAYIN LIKE HESHOULD HE OWNS IT HE SHOULD PAY THE EMPLOYEES, so we moved my grandpa so anyway KEN HODGES BETTER OR NEEDS TO PAY THE PEOPLE THAT R OWED

Yes they do get paid by medicaid. I would like to know what they are doing with the people that live there they get there ssi check and disabiably check to what are they doing with all that money?

Fairandbalanced123, how can you say this is not the fault of the owner? It is his responsibility to pay his employees. Yes, the state has had cutbacks, however, this has nothing to do with employees paychecks. Mr. Hodges and the administration (Diane) know about these cutbacks way before they happen!! In a business that is properly run, the owner should have money set aside to help with unexpected repairs, payroll, etc. It is the fault of the owner and the administration!!!! I feel sorry for the residents and the lack of care that is provided to some. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are some workers who love the residents and do the best they can with what they have to do it with. Bottom line--the residents need the proper care and the employees need to get paid for their duties. You do need to take this to the labor board and to the Division of Health and Human Services. This place is getting their money from Medicaid!!!! If they can't afford to pay their employees, they need to transfer the residents to different facilities, pay their employess, and close the doors!!!

yes it's true FAIRANDBALANCED, that the state is having money problems and it has affected assisted living incomes, HOWEVER other assisted living facilities are paying their staff, keeping their lights on, have their phones on, paying their gas bills, and have food deliveries coming in. perphaps this is because the OWNERS of these other facilities dont have 6 houses, one with an indoor POOL! they also dont have administrators who lie on a daily basis, and are actually at work looking after the residents! they also are not having their homes REPO'D from them!

He is probabaly just another no good for nothing sorry sob that is going to try to get that man in the white house to bail him out. I would take my vacation when he does come up with the money and then if he fires me I would file a suit against him and have a Judge put a hold on all his property. You should take your kids to meet the SOB like you said and let him tell them why he don't have the money to pay his employees. If you could afford to do it you should all stay out until he has the money to pay you. I bet he gets his pay check. I would call everyone I could think of and get someone to make him show where the money went that was supposed to pay his help. Who is in charge of the payroll ? Is he or is it another employee? He has learned from our leaders that if you run your bussiness in the hole somebody will bail you out. I'll be darned if I would take this sitting down, he would be commiting suicide
