If the teacher had been in the shape to strike back protecting themselves , the teacher would have been fired, charged with a felony, lost their tenure/ retirement , teaching license etc . The "kid" will get a smack on the wrest and be back in class next week all while learning there's no consequences to their actions.

Given the failure of public schools and their desire to modify culture in America I am not sure we can afford to allow the 13% of unmanageable "children" to take over the education system. Time and time again we see their resentment of education and social behavior instructions causing outburst of violence. Those children seeking an education cannot be served in that environment, so something must be done. A workable solution is segregation but it is rejected by pandering politicians. Cages are out of the question, armed security already rejected, parented homes are a solution but impossible to find in some segments of the population. I guess leaving them uneducated and unrestrained would eventually through attrition would solve the problem. However it takes a long time and is expensive until the numbers can be reduced. What do you think?
