The Politicians and Activist like Al Sharpton are getting wealthy by pushing racism. I know of no one that is a racist and wouldn't tolerate being around them if I did. I am not against peaceful protestors but maybe your liberal TV stations are only showing you peaceful. I see radical mobs destroying property.

Seems like about a year ago someone tried defining the Betsy Ross flag as a symbol of racism without any precedent.
Society suffers when any group has that power.

A lot of American men and women have fought and died to ensure that every American citizen and even those that are visiting our great country enjoy the freedom that the 1st Amendment guarantees, even if others disagree with their speech.

You don't get to define symbols for others.

I think it's yet another example of the side that is always screaming about tolerance and acceptance proves once again they are intolerant and un-accepting if others views differ from theirs.

The British flag has changed since the Revolution.
We won't even get into the Native American's. We owe them more than we've ever given them.

We fought two wars with Britain. Yet, they are no longer our enemy. If an English buff wishes to fly a British flag or stick an english flag on their bumper, leave em in peace. We have fought against numerous Native American tribes. I don't suppose you'd want torestrict their display of cultural identity. And there is Spain... And bunches of now friendly former enemies in WWII ...

If people fought as hard to make their communities better as they do the right to fly a traitor flag, we wouldn't have the issues we do in this country.

Did you miss the part where I said the current flag of Japan would be on but the WW2 version is not?
The confederate flag is a sign of racism and a failed cause. Let it die. Fly Old Glory proud.

Japan is no longer our enemy. The Confederate States are no longer in a state of secession. Neither are the enemy of Americans today. Leave their descendants and nostalgia buffs in peace.

And a state should never support it.

I think it is one thing when an individual does it, that is one thing but when a state indorses it is another. That is the same with monuments. The public should control monuments on public land.
