That is a very generous gesture by the fine candidate Yang but I really hate to see him put into such a bad position. I would save the first months $1000 pay for fear he would run out of his money before the next pay check. Surely he would not make such a promise to get elected then expect others to pick up the tab. I fear he would go broke with such a promise.

It would throw everyone who takes it into deeper poverty between taxes and other income limitations. They would not do this without an income limitation.

One Democrat candidate, Andrew Yang, wants to give a $1,000 a month payment to every American citizen over 18. So what would you do if you got the check every month? I would close up shop because all of my earnings would have to go to taxes to pay for this program.
