Teenagers, if your parents bought you an iPhone, and know your iCloud account, they can track your location through the find my phone app. However, you can disable the feature and their ability to track you if you read this.

I hate to admit it, my mom was very naive and sweet and all that. She believed every word I said. And I took advantage of it. I feel so guilty about it now that I'm a mom. Plenty times I was where I shouldn't be. But, now there's iCloud and I don't feel like many parents know of this.
With the sad situation of the boys last week, there's been so much speculation of whether the parents knew where they were and such, well, at least with this parents could have peace of mind knowing exactly where they are and track most their messages to see who they are talking to and what they are talking about.

I'm so glad this wasn't available in my day, although, I must give my Mom props. She could find me faster than a bloodhound and I was always somewhere I shouldn't be, with someone I shouldn't be. Or, maybe I shouldn't have been there too long...
Technology is cool but Mommas rule.

If your kid (teenagers more specifically) has an iPhone, you can track where those suckers are at any given time. They must have iCloud enabled, but as long as you know their iCloud login you can check on them from your phone or computer. First, there's an app called "Find iPhone" you can put on your phone and put in your kids login and password and a green dot will show where they are.
Also, with my discovery this past week, you can also monitor their text messages BUT the person they are conversating with must have an iPhone (or be using MMS not SMS text messaging).
As bad as we hate to admit it, our angels aren't always little angels. They're going to be sneaky at some point and not be where they are supposed to be or talk to people they're not supposed to talk to.
