icons gone from desktop

The error of losing all icons on the Desktop can happen when you are turning on tablet mode for your computer or accidentally hiding icons during use. Corrupt or corrupted icon management cache files will also lead to the above problem.

Hope your hard drive isn't dying. You can bring it by the shop if you have time. I will be open at 10am Saturday.

Why have my icons disappeared from desktop? Running 8.1,Norton Antivirus, Firefox I googled it last night on my laptop; got them back; gone again this am
