One of my family's favorite tuna recipes (actually the ONLY way they will eat tuna) is something we call "Tuna Burgers" because you spread the mixture on hamburger buns before baking. Never thought my two young boys would like this, but they love it!!

1 can tuna packed in water, drained well

minced onion (as much as you like)

5-6 slices cheese, grated (more or less to suit you)

1/3 cup mayonnaise (more or less to suit you)

Mix all together and spread onto hamburger bun halves or any type of sliced bread. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown and bubbly.

The recipe that hollycroft posted is a really good one, and similar to the one I make. The only changes that there are to mine are: 1) omit the cheese 2) add either canned or frozen peas, as few or as many as you'd like 3) instead of breadcrumbs, I use ritz crackers crushed up and mixed with melted butter, or I do it the way my mom and grandma use to and use crushed potato chips on top. Now, my husband is picky and doesn't like tuna, so sometimes instead of tuna I use tyson's canned white meat chicken.

I have not ever tried putting cheese in mine, but I will next time I make it!

The one that my kids like is quite simple:

In a large mixing bowl add:

Cooked noodles- enough to fill your casserole dish.

1 Can Cream of Mushroom soup

1/2 Can of Milk OR you can use sour cream

1 Can tuna, drained (water or oil)

Pepper, to taste

1/2 cup shredded chedder or mixed (Mexican or Italian) cheese

Toss all of the ingredients together and put into a casserole dish.

Top with breadcrumbs

Bake in 350 oven until bubbly (about 30 minutes)

Enjoy!

Does anyone have a good tuna casserole recipe they would like to share? Tried looking online, but most of the recipes call for green peas, which I cannot stand.
