My husband loves turnips..definitely gonna try!

I love turnips. I'm the only one at my house that will eat them....I think I'm the only one in my neighborhood actually, lol. I like them with sugar and red pepper though. I may try this, empowers ;)

I am cooking Turnips today. Just hate to peel and slice the turnips.

Got some large cucumbers, too large for pickles so what to do with them? Got some turnips? You got a gold mine there!

Cucumber Zucchini

Cut cucumbr lengthwise in half. Scoop out seeds, Salt and pepper, butter. Fill cavity with cheddar cheese. Place both halves in pan and bake in oven until done. M-m-m-m good.

Cucumber dip

Cut cucumbers in very small pieces. Mix with sour cream, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Turnip Soup

Cube turnips, boil until tender. Remove turnips from water. Add milk, butter, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Remove about a cup of broth, mix in yellow corn meal, then whisk this back into the pot to make a thickening. Return turnips to pot and simmer. With a chunk of corn bread...fit for a king! M-m-m-m good.
