Ted's is the best in town. :)

Why can't we have a bass pro shop or something more than restaurants in Wilkes. Even, the new theater is a big deal. I would like to see more shops that don't involve food. Give the kids a game room, give the wife's a mall and somebody build a dang bass pro or anything besides a restaurant.

Seriously, you jest... Any new food place in Wilkes should be ready and waiting for a rush of patrons for the first month!! I mean for most people in Wilkes a new restaurant is a big deal to them since they never leave the county!
I find it rather humorous that people would even fathom that West Coast Wings wasn't expecting this type of crowd. I mean really, is everyone this blind..? I wont even touch a new place in this County till they have reached the 3 month mark. Due to this type of service slow and inefficient!
However, the newness and the novelty of this place is what has the County jumping and running o get in their door all so they can say they were the first ones to eat there.

Tried this new wing place on advice of a friend. Will not be going back and even now am questioning my friend!

I have eaten there three times.....service was great and food was great all three times.....so don't believe everything you read on here...some people are just complainers......I suggest you try them yourself before passing on them....

So now I check back in after a few days to find out that other have experienced the exact same service that we did the only time we went there. For wrestlers grandpa who told me I just had lousy standards, I guess other have the same standards I do. When you pay $30.00 for lunch for only three people, you should expect prompt service, good food and drink refills if needed. To wait an hour for any food is unacceptable.

We went there tonight because they didn't seem to crowded. We go in and sat down (there were 3-4 open tables), The waitress comes over and takes our order. There was a large group with about 3 tables. We sat and patiently waited on our food. We watch as the food is brought out to the large group which was there before us. In the mean time others came in and ordered after we did. I looked at my watch and we had been there an hour and still no food or appetizer had come out. A guy who we thought was probably the owner had came over and told us our food would be out in about 7 minutes. we said okay. We sat there probably another 15 minutes ( by this time the people that came in after us had their food and was eating) the owner came back over and said there was a mix up with hamburgers and that it would be another 10 minutes before we had our food. Now this wouldn't have been so bad BUT we didn't order hamburgers. We said no we'll pay for our drinks but we are not waiting any longer and left.

I tried them. I wasn't impressed very much.

Maybe they will improve.

We attempted to eat there last night. My husband finally got his hot wings after waiting about 45 minutes. We also order a pizza. After waiting an hour, (we timed them) they brought out a pizza, but with the wrong toppings. We sent it back and told them to just forget it. I don't think we will be going back. Seems more like the owners are more interested in socializing than making sure their customers are taken care of.

We ordered take out wings for dinner. They were soggy, not crispy at all. Tasted like I was chewing a rubber ball. My husband and I were NOT impressed. I was really hoping to have a place closer to home where we cod get some good wings.

For all of you knuckle heads, search out my screen name and you'll see, I am not a malignant whiner. As a matter of fact, I have not posted on a restaurant thread since one about Cagney's about 6 or 7 months ago. To clue you in, the service was extremely slow considering there were only a couple of people in there. It took over an hour to get a club sandwich with fries, and two grilled chicken sandwiches. No tea refills unless we asked. The menu's looked like they were made by a second grader. Now, after having said that, I won't be going back. I do not start threads to hurt people or businesses. If it causes them to improve their food or service, then at least I have saved some other sucker from suffering the same fate of a poor dining experience. So there you go....

MrSmally... if you do not like it do not return...but do not post comments because it does not meet your individual standard...which I may add are not very good...have had Wings and Pizza and both were very good....as you have been asked elaborate why you were disappointed....
