It was supposed to be a promo for an HBO show (I missed which one). They were going to have a bunch of people dressed in white lining the bridge too. But they chickened out at the last minute. I think someone felt the people in white might be misunderstood

Reported on TV that the flag was bleached. Said they found the bottles of bleach atop the bridge. Stupid act!

I don't know guys, I kinda think someone was mocking our security, obliviously the bridge was not secured or under surveillance. That could have been a bomb, hopefully with all this mess going on in our world surely they will boost up security a bit. I'm glad it wasnt another tragedy.

Tax payers are paying employees to keep watch over this very thing from happening. Were they sleeping, again? The only thing I can think is that the employees hired by the state were not doing the job for which they were hired. Maybe re-examing job performance and employment would be a step in the right direction.

News reports stated that the culprits BLEACHED the flags. I believe they said bleach bottles were found and the scene. I guess the PoPo were taking a break during this time.

Just heard, someone took down the American flags on the Brooklyn bridge and replaced them with white flags. What's your thoughts? What the heck would that mean? Surrender, maybe? Also, they covered the lights with aluminum foil so noone could see them. That's insane!

No note or threat was found but it was a dangerous climb with a paint brush and bucket of paint.
