I hope Americans spent some time today pursuing happiness in their way. and I hope a part of that was taking a moment to consider what others have done to make that possible.
We do not owe anything to the 1,350,000 men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their county since 1775. We only have to remember them for their sacrifice. As President Reagan once said, it is one thing to fight for and win our freedom, it is another thing to maintain our freedom now and in the future. That's why we remember the fallen. We must protect our freedom both at home and abroad. Today is not to thank veterans, it is a day to remember the fallen.
Thank you george for the tribute to fallen soldiers link. Made me cry too. I put these guys in the same league as Jesus who gave it all so others can live. They must be in Heaven.
To ensure not another one of them die in vein in undeclared wars that are without clear objectives and even after victories, we retreat before the mission is fully accomplished.
Jesus said - Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for another. I want to remember my uncle that I never knew that died for me in WW 2. My father would talk of him often and always say he wish I'd known him.
Whole heartedly yes..If we see a veteran known by sight or maybe a cap, if you can speak to them.Shake their hand and give them another thank you for all they did
Please let us not forget the good men that died so we may live the lives we live. Democrat, Republican, Liberal or Conservative we should all be thankful for these great souls that gave their lives for us. Remember them and their families tomorrow.
