With the decline in sales nation wide, McDonald's should sell the property to a local cafe that uses real meat in their hamburgers as opposed to pink slime.

A lot of the people from 421 are working at 18 north till rebuild is done. ..what gets me is everyone complain s bout McDonald's and our service but they come back every day and sometimes ore than once a day. .we are human and we make mistakes too. ..try your hand at dealing with people the way we do at thousands of sandwiches a day see if you get all right. Just saying.

I have had great service at the one on 18. You guys that get bad service are probably the ones who order hamburgers like light on the mayo, no salt on my fries or extra ice in my coke. I just love waiting behind people who wait till they are ready to order to think about what they and the other 5 people in the car want to eat and then want 5 separate orders. You picky slow pokes how do you make it through life?

As far as the one on 18 I have never gotten good service there or my whole order correct so I quit going there. In my opinion all they did was polish a turd.....looks nice but it's still a turd.

it's ok 50 Shades , a lot of people don't understand my name. Like you, I've only used the drive thru.

Sorry Kenc, m'aam. Not a mind reader but......anyway. They did remodel the one on 18 extensively (last year)? It now has the double drive thru, but I must confess I never go inside. I don't know if they made any other changes. I have been very pleased with the speed of service since they opened the extra lane and my order is almost always accurate. Major improvement. Love those caramel frappes!

Mam not sir, 50 shades. but yes , this is at least the third topic. I was trying to find one of them and my search took me back to 2007, where there was talk about tearing the one on hyw 18 down. That was interesting.

Did you read my mind ?

They should make it a double decker like the Wendy's in Boone!! They have a lot of business and it would be great for the teen's and kids!!

Anyone know why they demolished the McDonald's on 421? It was there one day, and gone the next. Just wondering what happened.

Nope, don't have a clue,, they demolished it?? Good !!!

They had a sign on the window for a while telling everyone they were going to close & would reopen in 72 days with a new building on the same site.

You have the patience of Jobe, Kenc. Isn't this at least the 3rd McD's post on here in a week? Kudos to you sir.

Yep, new one is going up there. The old was an outdated heap. I think they said on radio that it will be re-opened in April.
