They have had lap top computers in the c*ckpits for years. If it is a commercial flight of any kind there are two pilots, both qualified to fly the aircraft. Plus, as TheDayTheMusicDied pointed out, the planes fly long periods on autopilot. Just curious, would you be surprised to know that some military planes can be landed by computer? If you are surprised, they have been doing it since the seventies.
