Do you think it has anything to do with that huge chunk of ice that flopped off into the ocean the other day?

Everything appears to be well underway.
Storms started firing up over the West Virginia mountains at 7am. We will be headed toward 90 degrees when the storms approach Wilkes. Chicago had winds near 65mph nearby this morning. Wind damage will be the primary impact in these storms.
Now we sit and watch to our north-west. These separate rounds of convection will only get stronger with day time heating...possibly even forming a derecho...will have to watch and see.

It might storm, it might not, it just depends on how many people wash their cars today.

Satan is such an optimist.
Ugh... I hope the bad weather steers clear of us!

My current thinking is that we do get severe storms. Last few days have featured pulse type severe storms with 30% chance I believe...today's risk looks more widespread and may last longer.
