The truth is that religion is evil.

You can escape the chains of religion. It's not easy but it's well worth the effort.

OK... so I did way more research on all this.
I reached out and called a lot of folks involved, and reading all this stuff I really did have to take a few breaks to let my stomach stop churning.

If you want a podcast on it, say yes or let it die. choice is yours folks.

I wonder how many times did the kids tell their parents they didn't like the pastor and the kid got in trouble?

Religion is all about manipulation. The preacher is basically a magician who uses the power that god has on his people to get what he/she wants. Thar is assuming the preacher is not loony.

There is no knowledge of the truth found in your book of fables sorry. No one can show one "biblical truth" that has ANY evidence to back it up. Everything in the holy storybook only has verifiable testable facts proving it is just bronze age mythology that borrows from other religions during that time. Take the flood of Noah it came from the flood myth of Gilgamesh and I could go on and on.

Its all myths. Anyone that dedicates their life to spreading the myth as if it is the only truth prove that they can do the mental gymnastics needed to rape a child feel good about it and still live with their self. If someone believes in magic what are they not capable of except for admitting to what verifiable testable facts are of course .

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

I couldn't help but to post after reading all of the post about if the pastor did that he could not be a true christian. A true christian is one who believes in a sky daddy, magical enchantments, talking snakes and donkeys and the earth is six thousand years old. If anyone truly believes these things with every fiber of their being what actions could they take that would be unbelievable?

I'm sure he said lord please forgive me of my sins everytime the molested a child so everything is good between him and his mythical creator. With that being so I say again how would it be unbelievable?

Come on. Christianity is just packed full of people like this. Christianity has a bloody and violent past and present. Christianity has shown that anyone with a Bible and a mental disorder can become a preacher. In fact. Christianity could be classified as a mental disorder. It will be someday.

Many people will rush to say that this vile creature was not a true believer or a true Christian. And that is true. But consider this. Many people listen to him and spent time in his presence and could not tell that he was a wolf in sheep's clothing. The Scriptures tell us that we are to cultivate the gift of discernment so that we will know.

I agree, he was a pastor but not of the church. He was a pastor of willing followers of his teachings. I would like to see him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and punished with the maximum penalty. Just don't label him as a christian because it is very evident by his behavior that he is not. Same goes for all the teachers that abuse children, they may be teachers but they are not good teachers. Would you condemn the school for the behavior for a bad teacher.?

I always find it funny when people accuse Masons of being un-Christian or even being devil worshipers, but the same people will praise the work the Shriners do, news flash, you must first be a Mason (and remain a Mason) before you can join the Shrine, at least that's way it is in NC.

Also I heard the other day that Oasis Shrine temple in Charlotte which has 50 of NC's counties (includes Wilkes and Ashe) under its jurisdiction gives more money to the Shriners Hospitals than the 200 Shrine temples around the world.

Well, he was a pastor, so why would their be any argument against the idea he claimed to be a Christian? And why get all defensive over the fact that he did profess Christianity? His crimes and sins are representative of him, not of all Christians. This whole fact that some people use these individual events to try tear down a whole group is shameful. I'm sure plenty of masons touch kids too. But no one ever starts topics trying to bash the entire Masonic fraternity when one person is exposed.

You folks seem to take joy in him saying he is a christian or even a pastor. Is it to help you feel better about yourself or make others to feel bad? Surely you can tell by his behavior he is not a christian can't you? Him declaring himself a christian will not help him any more than it will help you to say you are not.
