Do you have a kid that can compete with the students? Intellectually

I had a neighbor that got a doctorate in education, last I heard he was raising watermelons and running flea market booth.

Oh and go look at the education of the Millers Creek christian school teachers.

The music teacher never mentions their education, one teacher has their degree in communications and not education and another in business admin. Comms and Bus. Admin are the 2 easiest 4 year degrees.

But hey only the brightest and best.

I did a quick search on christian private schools in Wilkes county and the 3 top ones that popped up didn't even have a website.

Foxy, it has nothing to do with private school student more likely to go to college. Only wealthy people can send their children to a private school and wealthy people children are more likely to go to college. It has more to do with the wealth of the parents than the private school's teaching.

You know nothing about private Christian schools. Why don't you do a little research and see what percentage of private school religious or not go on to college and turn into productive citizens You might be surprised.

I hate summer school. I couldn't learn nothing. I got held back 3 years but look at me now I am the President

Yup. And charter schools too. Even though they're public, they get to play by different rules. I think they're going to be exempt from all the legislation the general assembly is passing in regards to reopening, summer school, and testing.

I agree with that. But for every Bishop, there's a dozen one and done private schools popping up.

Schools like Charlotte Catholic and Bishop McGuiness are top notch places. I question religious schools such as Millers Creek Christian and White Plains Christian in Surry.

I wish an intelligent person would take over that screen name. You're terrible. Give it to sparking, or someone who could really say funny things.

Some private schools are great, but typically the religious based ones are not really STEM based.

Unfortunately, a lot of parents are pretty happy that Johnny can recite a Bible verse instead of being able to add or subtract.

If you want a productive society you'll have no issues with your tax dollars going to public schools.
