I don't think I have ever said how much money I made before retirement until today. I made about 3 times what the average worker makes in Wilkes and at least twice what the average worker in the US.

LOL, when I worked before I retired, I made well above the national average. On an average I made twice the national average.

That would mean you'd have to get a job to get a paycheck, your retirement check wouldn't increase just because CA has a higher cost of living�you really are clueless.

The average paycheck in California is more than twice a paycheck in Wilkes. So, I guess I could live pretty well there.

Not trying to change the subject but thought I could add this here. What do you think about the smash and grab going on? I feel this could come to homes. They surround the stores with cars and steal everything in matters of minutes. Wilkes County is pretty safe it's the high end stores their targeting. Family dollar, walmart, even belks is safe. They are stealing 1k handbags, thinking they might want alittle taste of the rich mans world.
