i was a student there and this is something you need to think about they absolutely do not try and find you a job placement as many that are doing it you will never find a job unless you open your own business and it will take 2 or more years just to get your business if i were you i would look for another career there is no where to work raffles is gone, smart cuts you don't need good luck

Been there and done that. All I can say is good luck. Ask how many start and how many graduate. There is drama but it isnt always the other girls that are the drama. And the kit does come with books and I would do them as I went but you dont get things like a hair dryer or brushes or marcel, perm rods, rollers the silly little stuff you need to do your job on customers.

Also...do the workbooks come in the kit? How do I go about getting them?

What exactly can you expect from microdermabrasion? I mean what are the results?

Thank you so much! I actually looked for a website by them a couple of years ago and couldn't find one. I am glad to have it now.

Congratulations and Good Luck with your new career choice. I am currently enrolled at the Artistic Academy. It has it's moments like everything else, but I love doing hair! It's awesome if you really enjoy it. See you in december =)

Can any of you that go there tell us if they do pedicures there? I have also heard they do some facial stuff like microdermabrasion. Is that something you recommend getting done there?

Well, I currently go there. The students are great, but of course there's drama. That will be anywhere in a school full of girls. The first 300 hours you are there you do nothing but work on your mannequni head. Put your name on everything you have before you even walk in the door, because it will randomly walk away from you if you know what I mean. After the first week or so you can take your lunch at what ever time you want to. Saturdays are mandatory & do not count unless you're there 7.5 hours that day. You do get one saturday a month off though. If you get your work book early go ahead and start doing the chapters you want to finish those books as fast as you can. (they aren't hard, answers are word for word out of the book. I hope this helped you out a little!

I've been thinking about taking classes there for a LONG time! I just don't really know anything about it. Is there anyway you could PM me and tell me a bit about the sign up, the kit you have to purchase, and anything else helpful you might could tell me? Thanks! :)

Hey! I went today to sign up for classes at the Artistic Academy. I will be starting December 7th. I am just curious to see if anybody has recently started or anybody who went through there and finished. If so, can you tell me what to expect? Also, is there anybody else that is planning on starting in December? Thanks!
