Actually Bushkisser - There is laws against women abusing their husbands, and girlfriends abusing their boyfriends etc. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO ABUSE PEOPLE. PERIOD. When someone puts hands on you, even to just shove or grab you, it is at least a 3rd degree battery charge if you press charges.

My folks took a belt to me when I misbehaved and I took a belt to my kids when they misbehaved. I did it only once and felt like an idiot and then decided to try to break the cycle. I only hope I it worked. I remember stories about grandpa and how he whipped my mom's brothers and I know that my mom was threatened on occasion.

I love all of the Tyler Perry movies. He is a hoot as Madea, and all of his movies have a really great message. I loved that part, too, where she "served" him the grits! Totally deserved what he got!

What kind of Bible have you been reading? Sounds like the He-Man Woman Haters version! (Little Rascals) Eve didn't MAKE Adam do anything. She was deceived by satan, and ate the fruit, and then she started talking to Adam about it, and talked him into eating it. However, the thing is, Adam was NOT deceived. Only Eve was deceived. He KNEW that it was wrong, but he ate it anyway! But anyway, this is a prime example of misogynist thinking and theology! It always comes down to being the woman's fault. Adam told God that Eve was responsible! Did he really think God didn't know what went on? When men grow up and stop blaming women for all of the world's ills, maybe we could have better relationships!
Men in Tenn, are a lot meaner ,, so my self I realy am just stuck,, however We was at a friends house and we was a watching this movie about this black woman and let me tel you ,, she was a kool old woman, she taught me a thing or 2 , I think the NAME OF THE MOVIE WAS MADIEA REUNION, , something like that,, loved that movie , never laughed so much ,, and wel some crying but not much,,, now that was a good movie,,the best part,, for me, was when that little young girl was in moma MEDIAS kitchen,, and hiding from her husband to be,, and Media told her they was hot grits on the stove , why not give him some,, and I be,, ==== if she sure didn"t ,, she gave him some alright,, right in his sory face, then beat the ---- plum out of him , i loved it,, so when I get back home to ,TENN, I GOT A PLAN FOR OLD FREDDIE ,, and I gonna love every minute that low down willie sk*nk of a thing he calls a man,,,, ohhhh just burns the hair off my ---- well i better get myself to bed , you folks , down here sure are nice,, thanks,,
I have been marred for 25years and no matter what we fuss about my husband has never put his hands on me He has been so mad at me I know it took all he had if I had been a man he would have hit me but if I make him that mad he well leave and then when he cools off he comes back and guess were he goes to cool off LOL--My parents house
I know you say why would a woman put up with the abuse but think about this, as a child I had very strict parents and if you backed talk or didnt do what you were told you got your **** tore up with a belt or a switch. From mom and dads house I married right out of school to what I found out 6 mths later was an abusive man he picked up where my parents left off. Yet afterwards he done something my parents never did he told me he was sorry and that he loved me. Then that became a routine. I never new what it was like to have a good relationship and he always told me it was my fault. but I finally did get out of it. He threatened to kill me in front of a deputy sheriff and still the law did nothing to help me and I was so beaten down by him I couldnt tell everything he did to me. with what little proof they had saw themselves they didnt help. Now he beats his secound wife.
Any man that would beat his wife & kids is nothing but shhh-i-t on my shoe. If a man laid a hand on me or my son he would not live to see tomorrow! I definitely would not stay with an abusive husband. There are outlets out there for these situations.
anybody that beats their wife and children is NOT a man, but is not even fit to be called anything. To even call him(or her) an animal is an insult to the animals because they protect their loved ones instead of beating them.
Sweet, I know it is hard (my sister was phyically abused), but all men are not like that. I confronted my B-I-L and let him know that if he laid a hand on her again, I would come after him and give him ten-fold what he gave her.
BTW, she has remarried, and to a fine gentleman I might add.
