The US mail does not have to run in any area it is unsafe to carry the mail. It is an insurance thing.

I like my mail carrier. I would much rather wait a day or two, then lose him. I just got him broke in. I don't want him broken.

Our mail is usualy delivered around 11 or 12..I was just thinking they werent coming today, which is totally okay, but I just seen an unknown vehicle at my mailbox and it was my mailman in a diffrent vehcile(4x4)..he had someone driving him while he was putting the mail in the boxes. So, if u have a brave and dedicated mail deliverer, I guess you will get your mail today.

I'd just as soon wait until the roads are safe for the carriers and any vehicles they have to share the roads with. Very little mail is life or death. Same goes for news carriers. I've not been out to my box since Friday and have no intention of going out again today. Heck! The internet supplies me with my news and I can handle any bills over internet. Other than water bill none of my bills come by snail mail anyway and they are all caught up so the junk and circulars can just wait.

We got mail on saturday and I guess we will get mail today. If the mail can get there they usually deliver it.

I thought neither sleet nor rain nor hail would stop them from carring the Mail..

The funny thing about the "Mail Main's Motto" is that it came from a movie, not the USPS.

The postal service "runs" everyday. The only days off are holidays. Your particular route may not carry due to the weather though. The Carrier may be able to deliver part of their route, or none of their route. Once they get out there, they make the judgement call.

ok..thank you. I wonder if I can pick up my mail at the post office if they can't safely get down here...hmmmm...gives me something to ponder.

The mail ran Saturday, so im sure it will run today. If you dont get yours, its probably because they cant safely get to your box.

We didn't get mail on Saturday for good reason. I am wondering if anyone knows if the mail is running today?
