His wife came from a very wealthy family that once owned a huge amount of property in Wilkes.Part of the property is where the Wilkes County Airport And also the 500 acres off Liberty Grove Church road that the Town Of NW purchased.

What is so humorous about this is that Bowman was a lifelong Democrat.He ran for a County Commissioners seat as a Democrat and was defeated.On a $100 bet he switched to a Republican next election and won a seat on the County board.He paid the $100 bet.

I hear from some good sources, Tom is very sick. He was probably one of the most power driven people I have ever come in contact with. When he was county commissioner, he tried to get his minions in both town governments, to enhance his influence. When he was ordered to stay away from politics, he was caught hanging around voting places. Always thought he was above the law. I`d venture that given his heath status, he is trying to amends here and the hereafter. Should have been a better person while he had the chance.

You know what? Bowman certainly disappeared after 2008's election; it was like he dropped off the edge of the Earth.

True, mtnguy. But this guy was illegally selling drugs from 1996 through 2001. That's not a minor mistake, this is a man that made a ton of money by hurting a lot of people.
And his "sentence" was a mere 3 months in a halfway house and a fine that was a fraction of the money he made on the drugs.
Last I heard, he was the office manager at his wife's practice. How he can legally work in a medical office with his felonious record, I don't really understand. And now I question, where does a small town pediatrician come up with $1 million to give away?
I suspect one or the other has their sights set on running for office again, and they're trying to buy some more good will.

It's safe to say more than one doctor has and does contribute to the opiate outbreak. I don't know enough about the man but if he's done served his time then let the man do what he wants with his money. Obviously WCC isn't concerned with his past so neither should you.

Who do you think created this opiod epidemic? I am not sure Tom Bowman created it but he sure contributed to it.

Tom - is a large part of the prescription drug issue in the region. His legacy is destroying lives for his profit.

Tom Bowman was a good doctor. He was very attentive and respectful to elderly patients. When was the last time you made a mistake and had to pay the price he has paid? Many doctors have done much worse than Tom. Who do you think created this opiod epidemic?

I see Tom Bowman is giving is giving WCC a chunk of money and in the pic, he doesn't`t look good. Must be trying to buy respectability and make people forget his loosing his medical license and the time spent on probation. I remember he tried to sue Jason and Go Wilkes for posting a truthful statement of some sort.
