Does the clerk’s office have an obligation to let someone know?

I am not interested in the property. I just think it is really dirty for these folks to bid on homes as though they are going to live there and then flip and sell. The bank is selling to “individuals” because they get first option on these foreclosures.
They are also representing themselves to the buyers as the owner even though they have never lived in the house. It is illegal, but I don’t know who to report it to.

Actually, this is not true. It’s totally illegal and impossible.

When a forclosure happens, it must legally be advertised in local papers for a fixed number of days then sold at an auction held by the clerk of court. If no one bids to match the bank’s opening bid, then the bank “buys” the property. At that point, it’s the job of the bank to sell the property as fast and for as much money as possible. If you wanted to buy the property, then you should have went to the auction.

It is pretty much up to the individual bank and the troubled asset officer in charge. My guess is that they have dealt with this group before and know their money and word is good. Money talks and BS walks

I have recently been made aware that certain banks that foreclose on properties offer those to individuals first instead of companies such as real estate companies that buy them, fix them and flip.

There is a certain company that has family members bid on the homes, fix, flip and sell. They are saying the individuals are going to live in the homes. They don't. How can you report this and who do you report it to?
Also are all foreclosures bound by these rules, or just certain ones?
