Actually, I can think of several things which can be seen in a bar: Bartender, ample supply of beer/liquor, jukebox; maybe a hooker or two.

It's called "Train The Trainer" It's just some corporate hoops you have to jump through to qualify to train the trainees.
But hey man, if you think that's all there is to driving a semi I won't fault you. You just don't understand because you've never been in control of 80,000lbs of rolling death with soccer moms & the elderly.
That's not even where you need most your skills. 99% of these trainees can't back into an open spot, much less a packed truck stop with at 4am with minimal space to maneuver while it's pouring down the rain.
But hey, right pedal, left pedal. Maybe that's how your car works. We've got to look ahead, almost predict what's going to happen. I can spot a bad driver from 1/4 mile away. It only takes a football field to achieve a full stop,,
