I think the Democrats in the House felt the same way, this was a smear campaign pure and simple, Al Green spilled the beans some time back, "I'm afraid if we don't impeach this President, he WILL be re-elected".
I think according to their work calendar that Congress has completed their 8 days of work for November.Senate finished their 7 day work schedule for November.Congress scheduled for another 8 days in December and Senate only 2 work days in December.They will get a lot done by 2020 with a huge workload they have!

The house will impeach Trump. The senate will vote to keep Trump in office. Trump will lose in 2020. Democrats will increase their numbers in the house and the senate in 2020.
Rose, You can say you heard it hear first, the committee will vote to impeach, then the House of Representatives will vote to impeach mostly along party lines with a few Democrats voting No, then the trial goes to the a Senate which will not vote for removal which will further divide the country. Then the 2020 elections, Trump will win the Electoral College the Democrat will mostly likely win the popular vote again also further dividing the country, however I predict Democrats will loose seats in the House, maybe not the majority but the split will be closer than it is now.
