There may be a few people who could have to wait until they file their 2019 or even their 2020 tax returns to get the check. This is technically a 2020 tax credit in advance.

So if the check amount is based on your 2018 tax filing and you didn't work that year to file taxes, but you've worked 2019 but haven't filed those taxes yet. Then how does the Gov know how much this stimulus check should be? Or are they going to screw those people that didn't have a job in 2018 but has worked the year of 2019

It doesn't look like we will get much but that's ok, we don't need it and plan on donating to a charity what little we get. Wish they would have limited it to the poorest of the poor.

Maybe everyone on this site should do the math. As average American you get $1200. The bill spends $2 Trillion dollars that we must borrow from somewhere because we do not have that kind of money. The bulk of the $2 trillion dollars will not help you, but it will surely help the Corporations and the President. Wake up, is $1200 worth loosing your freedom and Democracy. I think not. These looters looted the Treasury in 2008 at taxpayer expense and they are doing it again on a grand scale.
