No dummy...there is a thriving replacement screen business...as in replacing the screen after it shatters.
I live in the real world...you live in magazines

And yet there is a thriving business in screen replacements for people who thought their phones and tablets didn't think their devices need screen protectors

Posted 11:34 am, 11/24/2017 Seriously get a screen protector, whether it be a phone or ipad or whatever. When I got my new phone, I accidently left it on top of my car and drove off. I turned around and went back to the parking lot and it looked shattered. Luckily though it was just the protector and the phone was fine.
That is because screen protectors are fragile, they shatter, they get all scratched up....

Hot mess I order a nice case from Amazon and the screen protector. Every time I have try to put the screen protector on other electronics it does not stay on it and have bubbles in it.

you are going to have to pay. why would anyone put it on for free? what if a bubble forms? are you going to be happy? are you going to expect them to redo it? replace it?
when i was in wireless, it used to crack me up when people would order there stuff on Amazon and come in and expect me or my employees to install it for them. I made it clear to the employees that if they did this, and they messed it up, they would not be pulling from store inventory for "do-overs"...they were gonna have to buy it

Agree with Chendo. After two screen replacement due to being dropped I bought a screen protector/case. I have dropped this tablet multiple times with no damage. Sure the protector is scratched from my stupidity, but I will never do without.

again...know the difference between "proof" and "resistant"
i sold the devices for several years, and i would never own one unprotected. i saw what came in and what could have been mitigated, if not prevented by a screen protector

Naw! The protector will scratch but the gorilla glass is way stronger than the protector.

the glass is scratch resistant...not scratch proof...it is shatter resistant, not shatter proof. another layer of protection can only help

You can spend all sorts of needless money on screen protectors if you want to, but seriously, don't. Trust the gorilla glass!

Screen protectors are sorta foolish. The glass on the IPad is so strong. Folks fall into believing in screen protectors because they scratch and crack and think it protects the screen from scratching and cracking, but that is just foolish. The screen protectors are weak. The glass on the IPad is way better, stronger
