I haven't been online since last night because I have been at work all day. I just signed onto Gowilkes and Facebook and have seen nothing but people griping because school was not delayed this morning. I left out before 7am this morning and there was absolutely no ice no where and the temps were a degree or two above freezing. Why do you people think that school should delay because of a light rain? If they had of delayed school "just incase", then you all would be on here beotching because they delayed for no reason. I could see it if there was a little ice or something but there was nothing but rain! Good grief!

My wolly worm has a brown circle around his body for Dec 9, 2013, so I would just get myself and kids up at the normal time and go on to school and work.

Temperatures will be borderline for freezing rain through late tonight so additional glazing is possible before midnight. Thereafter, temperatures get comfortably above freezing alleviating any concerns for morning travels. In fact, once things transition solidly to all rain temperatures don't get below freezing again until Wednesday morning.
Rain showers continue on and off through the first half of Monday. We'll get a short break in the action late Monday before the last push of rain comes through Tuesday. Thereafter, it remains chilly and uneventful for the rest of the week.

And the mountain counties have made no changes yet because the forecast says nothing is going to happen

Yadkin county is on 2 hour delay. But everyone knows they are closer to the mountains than us.
Either that, or they have less faith in their liability insurers.

They're gonna wait to see if the rain turns to a heavy frost. If it does, they will probably have a 2 hr. delay til the frost melts.

Doesn't matter. They think calling at 5AM gives them some kind of power trip.
It would make just too much sense to call it now, so working people (all 20 of us in the county) can make arrangements.
Call it based on the forecast, have some intelligence this is 2013 not 1978.

Could be because the forecast is actually for nothing to happen
