I agree...very dignified.

Mr Griffith was a man who bought to life a character that will be loved for many years after his death. Why can't you just leave it at that Canes? Dang why does everything have to be about politics?

I grew up watching the Andy show,Barney and Earnest T was my favorite.Rest in peace guys.

My husband was buried 24 hours after he died. He was not embalmed and was buried in a wood pine casket. He was Jewish.

He has already been laid to rest. He was buried around 11:30am on his family farm in Roanoke Island. BUT I didn't know it's legal in North Carolina to bury people without embalming them. Intresting fact. Saves on the funeral bill I suppose.


It is legal as long as they are buried within 24 hours of the time of death.

Andy reminded us all of a simpler time in our history. You could trust your neighbors, never lock your door & if you had a disagreement with someone you sat down & talked to them. No one came to blows & no one certainly shot anyone else.

Wouldn't it be nice if those same things applied today?

Its sad an icon has gone to a better place....we had him for a long time and we should appreciate all he did while here...and try to follow in his foot steps....RIP in ANDY G....

Publically Andy spoke of religion, family, and hard work. He was really a strong conservative or acted like one. Why did he associate with the party that stood for the opposite?
Like many actors living in a fantasy world he probably had difficulty distinguishing between fantasy and real world. Either that or he was sleeping with Bev.

If you can only appreciate someone's talents because they share the same politics with you, then that says a lot more about you than the person you're attempting to denigrate.

His reputation was ENHANCED by that!

Andy was a good entertainer. Too bad he ruined his reputation by pimping for the Dems.
