How bout reparations for descendants of folks whose statues have recently been torn down??

Add reparations for Asians as well. The CA railroad wouldn't have been built had it not been for Asian slaves. I could be part African and my ancestors were probably slaves, I need reparations too. Good luck figuring out how much to give me. While we're at it, how much is enough and how black do you have to be? Does being more black increase my payout?

I’m sure there are a great number of slave descendants who have bucked the odds.
I’m equally sure there are a great number of slave owner descendants who are poor.

I've not expressed an opinion one way or the other, but I could see why their descendants would ask.
If your great great grandfather was a farmer, the chances your great grandfather was a farmer, then your grandfather, and so on. The size of the farm may change and the techniques used but the title remains.
If your great great grandfather was a slave, the chances your great grandfather was a servant, then your grandfather was a farm hand, and your dad may have worked in a factory, then you might finish high school.
We are typically a product of our ancestors.
