Sounds like Mr. Black(s) should have kept driving on down the road. Persons with past felony convictions will always have a way to get a gun if they really want one. I would guess that if both parties had been unarmed, the rage wouldn't have escalated because neither would have felt empowered.

You are right about the part in red but why aren't those on here who call for more gun control not on here calling for the laws we have to be enforced. Did the son have a PPP when he took possession of the hand gun if not he needs to be charge for breaking the law. The hand gun needs to be traced to see if they can find the person who provided it to a felon and they need to be charge as well.

I still can't help but notice that the people on here who are always calling for more gun control and restrictions on honest gun owners are no where to be found. Why aren't they on here now demanding law enforcement find out how a felon got a gun and if his son follow the law when he took possession of it from his father.

Its just another example of how current gun laws don't work and how law enforcement won't enforce the current laws we have Yet they want more and more laws and restrictions.

Maybe Obama pardoned him. He did pardon several drug dealers

The cops need to do a search and see if they can find the person who provided the pistol to the felon and charged them. If Steven didn't have a PPP he needs to be charged as well

Well hangs this gun nut thinks the survivor should be charged with any thing possible along with who ever gave a convicted felon a gun. In addition the wounded man should be sued for the damage to Oliver's veh, the cost of 3 cartridges and for any hearing loss which may have resulted from having to shoot while inside a vehicle

point being neither had common sense to own one .....or legally. the paper would have stressed that he being Stephen also was legal like they did the the shooter who was perfectly legal.

pretty sure if you look up his name on doc offender search only thing on his record felony wise is possession of drugs and there is a misdemeanour on there also. soooo he has been a felon since 1983.

Joe...we don't know if he was a felon when he got the gun.
Maybe he had the gun first and then had to get rid of it when he became a felon

Go back and read the article Amax linked to it said Kelly was a felon and couldn't have a firearm and he gave Steven the pistol shortly before this all happen.

So did Steven have a PPP in order to lawfully get the pistol and who gave the pistol to his dad a known felon?

Where are all you gun law nuts at? Every time something happens you are on here saying we need more laws and something has to be done. Why aren't you complaining about the laws that were broke in this case

You know .....it speaks volumes to lack of character of the two shot that almost no one has sympathy for them. Occasionally folks get exactly what they deserve.

i just wonder how many people feel like s for donating to their numerous GoFundMe pages after seeing the truth. i guess Stephen was not as ready to play with the big kids with his new toy from dad as he thought. Such a shame that a good honest decent man has to continue to suffer the aftereffects of 2 s. i have no pity for them. so many ppl have said they were nothing but bullies...not anymore though seeing as they had their azzez served on a platter.
