Bestill, i am not brainwashed by 'the news' like I used to be when I watched it every evening, etc. I do have a computer which helps to keep me abreast of all that is going on without having to watch 'the news.'

Hate to say I no longer trust 'the news.' I rarely ever watch it. If I do I am even more convinced that I am doing the right thing by not watching it. You think I watch Fox News? LOL. I don't even watch them.

She's worried one of the shows will say something bad about Israel.

Better yet ...why have the TV cut off and miss all your shows that you like...why don't you just NOT tune in to the news ? SMH !

I can give you my 2 cents worth about Trump who you call something else (not nice). All through his presidential campaign I was thinking he would be like all the others...while he was speaking I would think..oh that is just another campaign promise, a ploy to get votes...And after he became President and started working I was constantly surprised that he surely did mean what he said in his campaign promises. This guy is real. He wasn't just promoting himself to win. He meant every word he said. Now, I trust him. I have faith that he knows exactly what he is doing.

Trust the media? You have got to be kidding!

So, why is it that you constantly criticize the news, emp? If you have tuned it out, why do you Care?

I could see a few years ago that the media was biased and distorting things so I turned off my TV. As much as I miss some shows this was my protest against being constantly offended by 'the news.' I was offended that they would think I was stupid enough to believe the BS. And I hear it is even worse now. And now I am even more convinced I did the right thing by refusing to watch 'the news.'

So who do you trust? You trust your intuition.

I look at this way. He is our president duly elected. Wait and see. Maybe he will fall on his face or maybe he will do well. So far, it has been exciting, but the truth is, we just don't know. In easy times, such things are easy to predict. In hard times, things can go either way. That is why folks are either terrified or feel more bravado.
I am a language geek, always have been, so I am sorta terrified! Other folks feel empowered. As in all times and places, we will see what happens. Could be great..Could be terrible.

His supporters will turn when they realise he can not fulfill his campaign promises. Just like the presidents before him.

Rump loves his uneducated voters. He said so himself.

It's true, Trump has been attacked by biased media.

Trump fights back.

I carry in my wallet, a printout of the NY times graph showing likely presidential winner on election day. The idiots had Hillary 80% favorite right on til 8pm that night. Only until they could not deny the votes any longer, was the fake lying story changed.

Same folks continue to try and torpedo Trump with their lies, every single day.

He has a comparably poor favorability rating in the new survey, with 39 percent of voters having a positive view of the 45th president and 55 percent having a negative view.
