Brandon, geography doesn't seem to be your strong suit.

At last check the US does not border China....

Donald again today:

"There's a theory that in April, when it gets warm, historically, that has been able to kill the virus. So, we don't know yet. We're not sure yet. But that's around the corner, so that will be a great thing in China and other places," Trump said at a Border Patrol event at the White House.

Trump also estimated that there were "around 12" confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in the US. As of Friday, 15 individuals tested by the CDC tested positive for the coronavirus.

Maybe that's why conservatives don't care about climate change.

You won't catch anything when the planet's destroyed.

People never catch anything in the summer.

The biggest misconception is the idea Drumpf can't get any dumber.

He has proven that theory wrong on a daily basis for the last three years.

There is a documentary on Netflix called Pandemic, I suggest you watch it Brandon. You'll learn that birds don't see borders.

So you are against Americans travelling? So we should all stay in our homes and never go out and experience anything?

What a closed-minded viewpoint.

total death toll.... almost 1400.
So are you for or against closing the border down to prevent these types of diseases coming into our country?

As for the virus receding in warm weather, Gottlieb pointed out that there's been some spread in Singapore, where it's 90 degrees.

No degree, because it is a waste of time and money.
I can spend 100K on a degree, and then what? Not be able to do a simple search on Google and find an answer for a question?
I had no degree as a programmer, and if I hit a road block on how to a function, I simply looked at forums and found an answer.

What also makes me an expert is that I have the ability to decipher BS.

Every year we have a new disease, the media plays it up and then nothing happens.
Remember Ebola?
Remember the Swine Flu?
Remember the Measles?
Remember MERSA?
Remember H1N2?

How many disease outbreaks did we live through?
It's always the cold season we live through this, and then magically we all forget it when it is warm weather.

Let's see if I have this correct Brandon......

You have your podcast and yourself. correct? What degree's do you have? Have you ever worked for the food and drug administration or the CDC maybe?

Just why is it that you Mr. podcast seem to know more then all of these folks that have spent most of their lives studying these kinds of things?

What makes you Brandon the expert?

You have Nothing to fight with Brandon..

Facts:

Asha George, executive director of the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense, said there are generally seven or eight unseen cases for every known case. "It may be hundreds of thousands of cases" here ultimately, she warned.

Gottlieb warned that even if the fatality rate drops from the current 2 percent to 0.2 percent, that could still "be quite devastating."

As for the virus receding in warm weather, Gottlieb pointed out that there's been some spread in Singapore, where it's 90 degrees.

Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, said there are "certainly cases we don't know about" in the United States, and he called for expanded testing because we're "capturing 25 percent of cases at best." Gottlieb predicted: "We're going to see those outbreaks start to emerge in the next two to four weeks."

Are we REALLY worrying about this?

If we were worried about diseases coming in... then I guess shut down the borders...
I swear... if anyone wants to fight on this, I want it.

This is bad...

Mecklenburg County is watching four people for possible coronavirus and the city of Claremont in Catawba County says they were called out for a welfare check to Tyson Foods last Friday for a woman who got sick after travelling to Southeast Asia and returning to Catawba County.

The sick traveler was not at Tyson Foods when the city responded, but an official tells us the county later made contact with the woman at a home outside Claremont.

If Donald said the Coronavirus doesn't exist and is a hoax, Trumpettes would believe him.

smonk

You see I have a really hard time knowing if you are lying or maybe this time you could be serious.

I apologize. We need to all realize that you can't trust Donald's way of thinking.

There seems to be a lot that we are monitoring in N.C.

I have a new term: Re-Smonked!

smonk

What you see here with backwoods comment is a failure to understand the most basic of things!

Let me do it in simple terms that maybe he could understand:

nearly 60,000 cases of the virus have been reported, with the latest death toll at 1,367.

Donald's response is as follows:

By the way, the virus," Trump told supporters at a political rally this week. "Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away."

He told a meeting of governors that he "had a long talk with President Xi" of China. "He feels very confident. And he feels that, again, as I mentioned, by April or during the month of April, the heat, generally speaking, kills this kind of virus. So that would be a good thing. But we're in great shape in our country. We have 11, and the 11 are getting better. Okay?"

Seems if I recall skeptic was the first one to post about the virus.

The virus could also begin to lessen in some parts of the world as spring and summer approach and the weather gets warmer. University of Hong Kong researchers estimate the disease will peak in April

Containment efforts

In the U.S., the Trump administration declared the coronavirus a public health emergency, and announced that certain foreign nationals deemed to pose a risk of transmitting the disease will temporarily be denied entry to the U.S.

"We are preparing as if this were the next pandemic, but we are hopeful still that this is not and will not be the case," Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, told reporters on a call Friday.
