Michael Vale is crying in his grave.

No one buys those because they are not steaming hot and soft.

Wilkes will likely get one after Surry does. They are just now getting Starbucks and Jimmy John's in Mount Airy. We will be next on the list when someone needs a tax write off hopefully.

What are the donuts in all of those gas stations? I don't buy them, but I thought they were Krispy Kreme. I figured they weren't building a location in Wilkes because they're already being sold on every corner with no overhead.

It's pretty much a right when he owns a lot of the commercial resources that business need to thrive in Wilkes. Namely land, location, buildings, water, etc.

They can petition all day, but no one has the right to say yes or no to a new donut shop or a bar that meets other town and county ordinances. JC Faw could refuse to rent to them, of course, but that's all.

Why don't Wilkes have a Krispy Kreme? They are far superior to Dunkin Donuts! Whenever I'm traveling and I pass one with the hot and ready sign on, I always stop and get a treat for the kids

Because JC Faw and his buddies don't want Dixie Donuts to have competition. His buddies also petitioned against a bar with live music at the greenway entry next to the water in the current Brushy Mountain Dental building.

I don't think that would be a code violation:

Health officials say this situation of toe-nail clipping isn't in violation of any code since it didn't contaminate any products

I hope they deducted points on their grade for the people who cut their finger nails there in public! And if you want a picture for proof I'm sure I can get one or look on their tables/floor for evidence.

I believe the old Walmart had a McDonalds inside, and no one used it. That's why the new one has a Dunkin Donuts, it's at least unique to the area.

I'm surprised by some of you, though. You buy your produce and other food at Walmart... do you honestly think they're any cleaner? You do realize that the same rodents that are in the Dunkin Donuts are throughout the rest of the store?

The OP was able to provide a photo of the sanitation grade, so it does appear to be true, after all! So I'm going to reinstate the previous information.

What's really weird, though, is that the inspection report on the Public Health Inspections website is now blank, showing no previous inspections...

"Dunkin Bakery"... you are confused Dunkin hasn't baked or deep fried any donuts onsite in many years, their donuts are all made off site frozen trucked in and defrosted in-store. it's kind of a shame their in store made donuts were pretty good and it was kind of interesting watching them being made.

Steve needs to kick their arses out and bring in Burger King like other Walmarts have. If we all start avoiding the registers near Dunkin Bakery maybe it will make a difference for once.

Most of the violations are just training issues, and easily fixed.
Now touching money and not washing your hands, that's just gross.

That would be your fault not theirs if you go to Dunkin Donuts for food over beverages. I have never seen anyone there with me order food. I wouldn't let them if they tried.

The food is ok, main problem is just how rude the people are and how high the stuff is.

Last inspection was January 9, and it's an 87.5:

That's the first time they didn't get an A since 2012, which is as far back as the report goes.
