Crazy wreck on 421

An older woman pulled out in traffic and caused an accident, and ended up being airlifted out. No word yet on how she's doing.

A tractor and trailer also jackknifed on Hamby Mtn Road while being detoured, causing more of a delay.

We live just above rec. road and was wondering if anyone has heard about the people who were involved. And was it true that there was one faulitary.and wondering how the other(s) are? Keeping them all that was involved and their families in my prayers.

We were coming home up 421. There were nothing but taillights right at the top of the hill right before you get to Wykes, so we took N.Minton rd to congo rd to try get across via NRec Road. It was backed up all the way from where the Congo Road hits Hamby Mt Road and all the way to 421.

It looks like there was a huge wreck right there at the corner of SRecreation Road and 421 close to Wykes. If you are trying to go up or down the mountain, you might have to take a detour.

Hope the people are ok! It looked pretty serious.
