While your statement may well be valid, or even accurate it doesn't address any real issues. ALL problems are the result of "man being man" - it is the nature of this world.
What do you propose? One Church? That wouldn't work either.
Just saying. (BTW, I know a legion of people who answer that question by saying "Christian")

| Posted 8:26 am, 04/11/2013 | Why do we need so many different churches? Was Jesus Christ not the savior for all Christians? Why do we need a cowboy church, a biker church, a celebration church.....and so forth? You know why? Because of man that's why. We need to "change" the Bible to meet our needs. Same way with different denominations; Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Free Will Holiness, and on and on. When did these religions sects come to be was it 2000 plus or mines years, from the day of of Jesus, or a few hundred years ago when man said "We need something else".? Often times when we are asked what religion we are, I hear "I'm a Baptist","I'm a Methodist", "I'm Pentecostal Holiness", if you are a follower of Christ should you not say a Christian? |

Happy, I have said for a long time that I am a Follower of Christ. Denominations and traditions have long stood in the way of churches growing. We do see a lot of churches changing to meet the wants of the people. A true church would seek to honor and please God first. He and only He can bring the people.

I think the Cowboy church still meets in the same building. I believe they share the building with the new church which meets on a Wed and Friday where the Cowboy church meets on Thursdays.

Church in cricket (celebration) merged with high rock church which has campuses in several locations in nc. I believe the services/pastors are much the same except for the lead pastor, he's new. This is all what I've heard...also not sure if they are still affiliated with baptist or are non-denominational now.

I don't know Cowboy, but I was wondering why they changed the name of the church in the Union School building in Cricket. I don't get out much but things are changing fast in Wilkes County. If their not moving then their changing the name. If it stays empty very long they tare it down and build something new.
