Like I wrote: if you have a coin or two or three that you believe to be valuable. Send me the Denomination, Date, and Mint location and I will give you a guestimate. AND do NOT clean your coins - it will Kill the value!

I doubt Hyatts is a certified appraiser. And most likely, they aren't worth a lot anyway. I mean, there is a slim chance one might be rare or something, but most coins aren't worth much over face value. If they are silver, weigh them and figure about $10 an ounce. Although, I haven't checked today's silver price.

If you private email me a list of the "valuable coins" I will be glad to give you a quick online guestimate I've been buying and selling coins for a long time.

I don't know about coins but I used Whittington for an appraisal for court. Looked very professional

First, photograph each coin, front and back, for your records. You'll probably want to get two appraisals from different places to make sure of what you have.

I would call Hyatt's Coin & Gun in Charlotte (704-394-0387) and see what they'll charge for an appraisal.

Our Dad had a couple coin collector books filled with coins. After his death in 1968, our Mother had these collections put in a safe deposit box where they remain today. Then, our Mom died 3 years ago! However, since there are 3 of us children (all girls), we are considering selling. Neither of us are coin experts, but have looked a few up and know some are scarce and valuable; therefore, we are looking for Certified Coin Appraisers or a Professional Currency Dealer in the Wilkes area that may be able to help.
