Is it too late to boycott?

I wish I had boycotted. The schedule used to be full of music. This year was sparse.

They won’t be getting a penny from me! They should follow the state of Tennessee and offer free community college! Then wouldn’t be charging for outrageous events and then still making students pay. Lmao

EWHS2012, why. Do you not know the financial impact the fund raiser has on the collage? Also all the other organizations that earn money from the food that is sold. The local business that earn money from the festival crowd. Call and ask some one in the department of advancement for the financial impact report, Im sure Allison will explain it to you.

I am glad the local civic groups get a chance to make some money, but it kills my business. So I take a few days off and stay far away from the whole mess

Sign up to volunteer and you get a ticket, that's the way 1/2 the college kids get in.

If it's something easy, maybe, but my back is out these days. To where it hurts to walk. It's mainly from me going to gym trying to lose weight though.

How many motel/hotel rooms does North Wilkesboro have? I might be wrong, but only Williams Hotel is in North Wilkesboro so, even if it were completely empty there wouldn't be "plenty" of rooms available. Wilkesboro has five motels (including Lowes Motel)? Again, should each of them been devoid of any paying customers there is hardly "plenty" of rooms. But, that is just semantics I suppose.

That's sweet of you, but I couldn't except it without paying for something I owe.

Does more harm than good for business away from college

Why anyone would want things to shut down in this county is beyond me? Do you not understand the revenue that events like this bring to the county? If you don't like it, STAY HOME. If you don't want to participate, STAY HOME. If you don't like it here, MOVE! Simple isn't it?

Decline in Hotel Reservations MerleFest
I heard and then confirmed with all the advertising from the town of North Wilkesboro plenty of rooms left. Might be a good trend to finally shut this thing down.

I've noticed that EWHS2012 has called for several "boycotts" recently. I suspect that they're up to something nefarious.

Love me some Merlefest. There are all kinds of music, not just bluegrass. The dance tent is fun, the mall is fun, some people just gotta be haters.
