Oh lawd no Mr. J......I wouldn't be in your socks for your shoes! You have a hard job as it is......I would like to see you get together with that special vet we discussed and offer her a deal on advertsement of all those shelter dogs she takes in.....and I'd bet the farm she'd take on any help offered.

I'm glad you found the person who owned the bookbag.....lol....that was a really cool thing to do that most ppl wouldn't give two hoots about.

Good news, the book bag found it's way home today

HOL, we have a Lost & Found section in the Classifieds, but there's an odd thing on GoWilkes... some people use the Community Voice, and some use the Classifieds, but few use both! So if you can suggest a way to make it better for everyone, I'm all ears!

Could be evidence of a horrific crime.

That thing was probably left there when school was out. When I taught school kids would chunk those things on the last day of school knowing mom would take them shopping before school started back up and they'd get all new supplies. Some of that stuff gets really funky because they're forced to clean out their lockers. They carry book bags or back packs because they'd rather socialize than spend time traveling to and from lockers between classes. Why they put themselves through that crap I'll never understand. I received an excellent high school education and never carried a book bag or back pack a single day. My freshman year I carried a duffle bag a couple of days a week because I had PE.

Melissa helped me go through it today... there was a lot of clothes in that that appear to belong to a teenager, and I wasn't entirely comfortable messing with her dirty clothes.

I found one thing in it, though, with the name Johnathan Thomas Wagoner, age 16. It's obviously not his (or, well, most likely not... who am I to judge), but most likely a girlfriend or close family member.

If anyone knows this guy, please let him know about this thread. Thanks!

Well, I had no idea there was such a thing! LOL I did look in the woods, though, just to make sure someone wasn't swimming or... well, doing anything else.

Considering it was at the Greenway, though, I think it was just a change of clothes for when she finished jogging, and then she forgot it.

I walked the whole path and only saw one other person, who said that she had seen it, too, and it wasn't hers. There was about a 1-hour window for her to come back for it, and it was starting to rain when I picked it up. So I'm positive it had to have been left behind by accident.

I don't know a lot about women's accessories, but I don't think the makeup and perfume inside were exactly disposable. So I feel bad, I really hope she messages me.
