Bill insn't bailing our large corporations....it is a loan

Hillary is a murderer

As I read about all the pork barrel Nancy inserted into the bill I seriously wonder if this is the end of her reign of terror. She has crossed the line where even the lefties in California are wondering why she delayed help to those in need in order to get her pet projects funded.

Why is there not some sort of end date in the bill? If the country recovers in the next month is congress going to vote to end the free money giveaway and the guaranteed loans to businesses? Probably not right before an election. Congress should have included a provision that the bill had to be renewed each month.
Why is no one discussing how are we going to pay back the $2 Trillion? Our poor kids and grand kids will be stuck with this debt for years to come.

Not only is it not a loan to the corporations, it is merely an "advance" ...

"The payments are essentially an advance on a credit against 2020 taxes. People who receive advance payments based on their 2018 or 2019 income but qualify for a bigger credit amount based on their income this year will receive the remainder of the credit amount to which they are entitled when they file their 2020 tax returns next year.

Recipients will not have to pay any money back to the government if their 2020 income is greater than their income in previous years, according to a Republican aide for the Senate Finance Committee."

Republican Thune voted against the stimulus package and flew home yesterday wearing a mask and feeling a bit sick.

I'm telling you the smallest needy are going lose on this corona package bill, big government looks after there self, lots of Americans are going to be left to defend for themself, it is now political and always will be. I can only ask that please help your community people that are and will continue to be in need. Not everyone falls in the big government eyesite we have children that unfortunately parents don't have taxed income that will qualify the household government relieve under the corona package deal, these children are the ones that are closes to my heart. And older social security income people want quality for supplement relief checks either, a lot to be read and unstood about the total bill, the government knows alot of people don't read and can't understand what they are passing, and many Americans fall to the bottom because of it.. I promise some of you are not going to benefit and feel left behind just as the government always does.

Republicans will loot the Treasury just as they did in 2008 and taxpayers will suffer the consequences just as we did in 2008. Sadly we have a Senate that has no interest in protecting the American people in general. They are protecting themselves in these serious times.

Rose colored glasses my friend. A $2 Trillion dollar bailout for the Country and my wife and I will not see enough of that money to pay want we owe in federal taxes from last year. Where in the heck do you think that money is going other than to the Corporations that soaked the taxpayer in 2008 and they will do it again.

I am getting so sick of reading people's post that is just plain ignorant. You complain about the large corporations getting help....it is a loan nor a gift/bailout. If you think life is hard now, if these companies don't get some help now you will see the trickle down affect of millions of people loosing their jobs. I for one, don't want to see that happen.

The legislation would also bar large companies from paying dividends to shareholders for one year after the loan is paid back, and from reducing their employment levels by 10% until the end of September. Midsized companies would be barred from paying dividends while the loan is outstanding.
