If there is any consolation to be found in the norm-busting chaos on display in Cleveland Tuesday night, it's that P Trump's theatrical, scorched-earth nihilism pulled down the curtain on his own chances of winning.
The smoldering debris left behind by a political arsonist created one of the low moments of American electoral history and left all but the most fanatical Trump supporters more dispirited than ever about the state of our public life.
This can hardly be helpful to an incumbent president.
It was not a debate in any meaningful sense. Trump was utterly unconstrained in his interruptions, his obnoxious comments, his snide asides, his attacks on Joe Biden's family, his relentless bullying and, ultimately, his lack of humanity. Watching this spectacle, viewers had to wonder if it would become known as The Last Debate.
But most importantly for Biden, Trump showed precisely why so many Americans are eager to throw the incumbent out.

It was a disappointment on both sides. Chris Wallace did his best to set up Trump and to baby Biden that much was clear. Trump shouldn't have interrupted so much and let Biden hang himself though.

THE FACTS: That is false. The sheriff of Multnomah County, Oregon - where Portland is located - said he does not support Trump.
The sheriff, Mike Reese, tweeted, "As the Multnomah County Sheriff I have never supported Donald Trump and will never support him."

I agree that no one won, but for a person calling the pres. a liar, Joe Biden sure did a lot of lying.
And as usual, his lies can be easily fact checked.
He also lied again about the Charlottesville hoax.
He lied about not supporting the Green New Deal... his web site says different. He is scared to death of the radicals who control him.
Didn't watch the debate. Will not listen to any program when they talk at the same time.
But in watching the hi lights, the president made by far the strongest points, and exposed
Biden for a liar, and a corrupt fraud. And with more declassified docs showing more of obama's corruption, and with docs showing crooked hillary's involvement in creating the Russian hoax things are only going to become more desperate for dems. Jim Comey will be questioned by Congress today. And there's plenty of Congress people, both sides, that don't want this exposed to the public because they up to their necks in it.
There's a lot of crimes and corruption they are desperate to prevent the people from knowing.

In the first quarter of 2017, the last in which Barack Obama was president, the rate of GDP growth fell to 1.4 percent.
There's no reasonable interpretation of recent history in which Donald Trump can be accused of causing the recession. The truth is that the recession was inevitable once the global pandemic hit. That's proven by the fact that the economies of every major industrialized nation contracted due to either the pandemic itself or measures taken to combat it.

For my part, no one won or lost. It was a cluster f for sure! I think the people lost, because most of us tune in to hear platforms, so that we can decide. I have watched every debate my entire life and remember Kennedy, on account of only one family in our neighborhood had a TV at the time. I was a child, and the kids had to act like it was Sunday and Ed Sullivan was on.
