Anti: You are so wrong (again). It is about what is right or wrong. Conservatives believe killing a human being is morally wrong. It has nothing to do with government control, other than with making laws that prevent people from killing other people, plain and simple.
Immigration is a little different. Traditionally, the Republicans have been in favor of open borders, while the Democrats have pushed for tighter control and tougher regulations against illegal immigrants. But we've already built a fence and found that, after billions of dollars spent, it had absolutely no impact on illegal immigrations.
Wrong again. If the barrioers don't work why do people like Palooser build a wall around their homes? Why did the number of deportable immigrants drop 89% in El Paso after the border fence was constructed? Why do you lock your door at night? Data proves that barriers work.

But I think most Republicans have no idea what these issues are about.

So again, Democrats here are taking the fiscally Conservative stance, where Republicans are wanting to spend more money on something that we know doesn't work. It's really nothing but a gimmick on their part.

It's fascinating watching the many avenues the democrat party is using to destroy themselves.
They are doing it from many different directions.. Late term abortion, demolish ice, open borders, protecting illegal criminals, the new green deal that is downright funny, but shows how dumb they are.
And that mess in Virginia is showing what a bunch of hypocrites the dems really are.
It just amazing to watch.. And there seems to be some GW libs that have no idea that all of these things, and more are showing the public how the democrats are against American people and want to take care of illegals in every way that goes against the American citizen.
It's like they are all 'demon possessed' all going off in different directions, and all those directions designed to hurt this country, and the American people, but protect illegals, even murderers completely.
Looks like Trump derangement has sent them over a cliff that has no returning ladder to climb back to sanity.

"The facts are clear. While it is true that El Paso is one of the safest cities in the nation, it has never been '...considered one of our Nation’s most dangerous cities,'" the city's sheriff, Richard Wiles, an Democrat, said in a statement after Trump concluded his address.
"And, El Paso was a safe city long before any wall was built.”
The city's Republican mayor, Dee Margo, also sought to correct the record.
"I believe he was given some misinformation," Margo told CNN in an interview, adding the idea that El Paso was a lawless and dangerous place before fencing was built is "not factually correct."
Margo said he'd correct the president if he reiterated falsehoods about El Paso on Monday.
“The geography of Texas won’t allow a fence from El Paso to Brownsville even if you wanted to do it,” Margo said. Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, who represents El Paso, called the president’s remarks about her district “troubling” in an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" last week before and correct the record.
El Paso does currently enjoy a relatively low rate of crime: There were 19 murders and 1,819 aggravated assaults in the city in 2017, according to FBI crime data. The city’s murder rate is about half that of the national average, and a fraction of more dangerous cities. In the similarly sized city of Detroit, there were 267 murders and 10,193 aggravated assaults, for instance.
