to be or not to be

empowers just because you aren't treated like my woman gets treated and aren't on a pedestal and you are jealous doesn't mean you have to be such a *****

no she is a gentelle, well educated, monogamous, sweet, caring, soft spoken, gracious, honest to a fault, lady in the sense of cultured southern ladies of old

Never fails to happen. When a woman is called a 'lady' most of the time it is a round-about way of calling her a ho or a hussy.

i didn't say the state saw us as a couple but if this state acknowledges marriages between cousins then what does that say for the bible thumping 61%. I may be lesbian but my partner isn't my blood relative unlike a large number of the folks here on GW.

I removed a few posts for vulgarity, and the replies to those posts.

my partner and I work and pay taxes. we pay our bills, save for the extras just like other couples. and you all have the nerve to tell us that our tax money is good enough for you all to use but we don't deserve to receive any government anything paid for by tax money. Well to heck with all of you stupid inbred bible thumping knuckle dragging mouth breathers.

So what I'm hearing here is you think it is ok for h*mosexuals to pay tax to benefit "traditional" straight couples where one of them works for the a government office but they money hetersexuals pay shouldn't do the same for a homesexual couple. this is discrimination of the worst kind

Muse, weren't you bragging on another thread that you are a Charlotte public employee, and, despite the fact that gay marriage is not legal in NC; that you're gay lover is somehow eligible for spousal benefits? Correct me if I have this wrong, but who is paying for that?

Not wanting to get into this debate but this might help everyone learn some history.

Several websites can be accessed that will shed light and doesn't place blame on anyone really.

I hate to inform you but i was born this way. you can call it a defective gene if you want but i feel that since God knows everything about us from way before we are born if it was such a big deal to him then he could fix it (fix the gene, cause gay peoples parents to miscarry etc.) if he wanted to. I am very happy in my life as it is. I have my own faith and i don't see that loving a grown consenting adult is wrong.

Because according to Michael the devil is my dad so...

It is sin and an abomination before the one that created you.

i am very happy in a monogamous lesbian relationship. i know the difference between a man and a woman and to me the male body is just ewww. I am not attracted to every woman i see. But to the woman i am involved with there is no one more beautiful to me than my partner. The beauty is deeper than her looks. She is intelligent, loving, caring, gentle of spirit but with a fire and zest for life, she is adventurous and sees me as her knight in shining armour just as she is my princess.

No, ugh! If I ever even thought I had those inclinations I would not give in to it. As dreadfully devastating and heart breaking as it was for me to hook up with my own sex, there were lessons for me to learn so it was productive, not only of children and a certain amount of happiness but it was also productive of life's lessons learned, not just of what he might have done wrong but also of what I did wrong. That is what we are here for.

I am flattered djs, but unfortunately I like my horse already broken when I go riding. I am sure there are some young ones out there with a personal ad that still have the gumph to break in a new colt though.

Besides I had a really busy gay recruiting campaign and gave out all my membership cards and Nordicware pans. But since all of us gays know every other gay in America I can set you up with a friend who has a low recruitment so he can make quota this year.

<muse>Why should my taxes cover your spouse but yours not cover mine?

Er, because according to our state constitution, gay marriage is not legal or recognized?

It's nice that your job provides insurance coverage. However, as a general statement, additional insurance costs for gay partners IS a real cost to society.

So, in one short post, we've disproved your false implication that the gay agenda has no costs to society...now it becomes a debate over whether or not these extra costs are FAIR?
