Actually, even though NC does not officially allow grandparent's any rights, I know of at least 3 cases where the grandparent's have been to court and won visitation. Scary. I can't imagine my parent's being allowed to visit with my children without me there.

well if Melissa is pregnant DSS can remove the baby as soon as she delivers and she wont even be allowed to hold the new baby. this is a fact. DSS does and has removed a number of babies from the hospital when there abuse and neglect investigations going on. The girls are safe in their NEW home. the people who have them are giving them all the love and support they need. so rest assured that she will not be able to have access to this new child should there be one.

Unfortunately though, there will be certain channels they will have to go through in order to terminate her rights. hopefully all sperm donors, and the incubator herself, will never have access to these children again. and thankfully the state of NC does not Allow grandparents to have rights in this state. so the grandparents cannot fight for visitation rights!!!

For mama19: I have never seen Johnny do any kind of drugs and I find your assertions immature. If Gavin took those kids with him to buy pills and you knew it, why didn't you report neglect to the proper authorities? Unless, of course, you were the supplier. And if the children are not returned, well that is certainly Gavin's issue. You are always defending the grandparents, even though they cursed vehemently if Gavin was late in picking up the children. Apparently, the grandmother lounges in bed and the grandfather shares drugs with Gavin and Melissa. Please cease and desist with these lies, as I am weary of all that you have to say. I am very glad that the children are now receiving proper care. This is how I see it.

Is this women going to have another baby ?How sad.I hope they take it away when the poor thing is born.I guess we are paying for that one to.I think that is why some have babies because they can get free everything.Then they can take their money and buy drugs and keep up the boyfriend.This is a sad thing for kids to go through. I hope all three are taking off the street.And theses kids are loved and put in a good christian home.

And the child abuse WAS NOT out of the mother's hands, you're crazy to say that. It is a mother's duty to protect her children. She was right beside her unconcious baby when the man who she allowed in her and her children's lives beat her. No mother would sleep through that, heck, no REAL mother would even be asleep if their child was in that condition. Most mothers would be blaming themself if something like this happened. I have a 2 year old and if I weren't married, I most definatly would have high standards of what man I chose to be in my life not only for myself, but for my child. I guess some people are so low that they don't have standards. If you don't love and respect yourself and your family, then you're not going to attract a man that is much better.

Reguardless of what any of us think, the investigators and police will have the final word, and I don't believe that they are going to take this lightly and give them all just a smack on the wrist. I'm sorry that this is happening to someone you obviously care about but just think about the poor babies that have been victims to such traumatizing events. They deserve nothing but love and happiness and unfortunatly for you, its not going to be found with this family.
