Purlear, There was an article in the Winston-Salem Journal a few weeks ago that said that sales at triad ABC stores was up 1 Million dollars compared to the same time last year.

It would be interesting to see how the sales of cigarettes and vapes are doing. I'll bet people are spending money of those. Plus alcohol.

PB, If anyone can't afford $15 I for a job well done, don't get your haircut and save your money, pretty simple solution.

Anyone that doesn't leave a tip is a clod. Especially this day and time. All you have to do is put yourself in their place.

My hairdresser is still charging $15 so I'm very thankful.

You will also see an increase in your next dental visit. Be prepared. And maybe you should wonder about those who aren't charging extra to cover the extra fees associated with keeping you and their employees safe.... just something to think about.
Cowboy, you just impressed me a little bit! I'm sure your barber was very grateful. :)

I guess we can agree to disagree.....restaurants, nail salons etc. and other places have not increased their prices that much if any.

If you are satisfied with the stylist that means a lot in my book. I used to go to a beautician for years when I walked out of their shop I got to the place I was dissatisfied with their color and cut. I had rather pay extra then to walk out of the salon with a half done job. Cheap is not always good.

If I said something that wasn't true then I'm sorry.....I don't see a issue as long as it's factual.

Figure in cleaning supplies, mask, changing their smock in between each customer, rubber gloves and hand sanitizer and using a sanitized smock for each customer and if they go the extra mile it is worth the extra price. And $25.00 is cheap compared to some places.

People don't understand that their is a charge to the business owner for using debit or credit card. Hopefully, this pandemic will make people be more considerate.

People that don't own their own small business have no idea of the stress these owners were under. Powerball, I'll bet you never even leave a tip. Now that things are opening up again, I try to always overpay.

I went to barber today, he's raised his prices and added $1 surcharge if you use a debit credit card, so my bill would have been $15, I gave him $40, why; because I consider him a friend and he's not been allowed to work for 10 weeks, couldn't draw unemployment and was denied a small business loan because he has zero employees. If anyone needs a trim, Jerry Hudler behind Waggles in Wilkesboro, he's a good guy and does a good job.
