I'm sorry to tell you, they do not have a tough job, they have a pie job. The folks that bring you your chicken at Tyson have a tough job

No matter what you do for a living, everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. Law Enforcement Officers have tough jobs and they're human just like the rest of us. Though their mistakes generally cost them more than ours do for us.

I wonder what happened in your childhoods to make you all such jack***es.

It's a job. It's hard. It's not called 'going to fun', it's called 'going to work.' You can like a specific job better than another job, but they are both still jobs.

Why is everyone here so **** dumb?

I see cops more like attack dogs on leashes helt by rich white men intimidating poor people.

There are three kinds of people:

Sheep
Wolves
Sheep Dogs

The LEOs are the sheep dogs and stand between the sheep and the wolves.
I don't always like blue lights, but if I call 911, they come dang quick.

I'm not a LEO and it is a very difficult job. Most of us don't have to worry about getting shot everyday. That alone makes it more difficult than everyone else's job military excluded. Afic your a idiot

In Affy's defense, I think that 90% of a regular cop's job is sitting somewhere, usually playing on his phone, waiting for a call to come in. At least, in this region it is.

Another 9% is probably spent pulling over speeders.

But that 1%, when they're called out to dangerous crimes... that's when they earn their paycheck. And Fred is right, most of us wouldn't have the courage to run towards a dangerous situation like they do.

You've really swallowed all the myths the cops tell haven't you

Both hard jobs but they do not worry about getting shot everyday.

Garbage man and roofer are both much higher on the list of fatalities.

Careful, now he will quote labor statistics saying that law enforcement doesn't even make the top ten of most lethal US jobs, even though you didn't say that it was the most dangerous job he'll still point out that it's not even in the top 10.

Repetitive and boring with moments of terror sprinkled in with equal measures of comedy and sadness mixed in as well. I always find it amusing when someone who has never done my job takes time out of their busy day to tell me what my day / job consists of.

Don't be afraid of science. It's not your enemy. It can make your life better. Your job is repetitive and boring.

Studies and research, oh my; I bet not a single one of those doing the study or research ever worked a single minute as LEO. It's the human factor that's the difficult part, seeing the heartache, death and destruction that man inflicts on one another on a day in day basis, but stick with your studies and research as "your" proof, I'll stick to my over 25 years of experience and stand by my statement that law enforcement is a difficult job.
