DSS shows up because they Have gotten Reports of possible neglect/abuse of children within that dwelling.. It's Not just a random thing they practice...

If a person has a child does DSS monitor all children? Why would a DSS worker randomly show up at a residence and start grabbing kids?

Avoid trouble with DSS by working hard, providing for your children and keeping bad influences out of your home.

She did the almost exact same thing to me except she searches my car without my knowledge. This was before she knocked on my door. She didn't find anything but I went to magistrate and they told me that since she works for the government I can't take out charges on her unless they open an investigation first. Tried to hire a lawyer but none in wilkes wants to go against DSS and considering she never took my case to court they wouldn't help me unless it was in court. She falsified all my paperwork

if she did not have a warrant to enter and search your house and shed you should have charges filed against here for violating your rights under color of law and sue her.

I know of two separate cases that a child in each case was in a foster home where dss placed the children and in both cases the children were inappropriately touched by another child in the foster home. In both cases this was way worse than the reason they were removed from their home to begin with, then in one of these cases dss prolonged letting the parents get the child back home because dss thought the child needed counseling and not counseling because of what happened while in foster care, when they went to court dss acted like the child needed counseling because the trouble the child was having trying adjust from being removed from the home to begin with. Now thats some kinda messed up if you ask me.

My ex husband popped up one day after 3 years of being ghost, tried to kidnap my kids and my neighbor called saying there was domestic violence in the home. So my daughter was. Taken. Also hippa - medical was discussed with the babysitter and school. Not that I care but that's a complete breach. Also while I was at work she entered my home and searched my storage shed, unannounced. Also tried to give the crazy lunatic my child as if I was the bad parent for trying to keep him from taking her. Because yes I did strike him, but i am a mom and he was being erratic and trying to take my daughter after being absent for so long. I mean who does this?

I don't think that is part of HIPPA

Just remember they have to have a warrant before they can come into your home if you say No.

DSS has had problems for a long time. I think you maybe only talking about the tip of the iceberg. Nothing for a fact but just patterns I have seen.

Well stated sparkling water. A child can be removed or placed in DSS custody temporarily until a Judge signs the custody order. I think this is called a hold. I've seen this before (not my personal experience) but DSS has a lot of power.

Starquitter, what did she say that violated your HIPPA rights? Did she divulge mental health/medical records?

Sparkling water. Understandable. Doesn't give them a right to falsify paperwork and not consult with a judge or have a parent plan in place and take kids without any reasonable explanation

I don't know any of the people involved in this situation.
I do observe a lot of people in my travels.

I have seen people who put more energy into their automobile than their children.
I have seen people who put more energy into their gaming system than their children.
I have seen people who put more energy into their career than their children.
I have seen people who put more energy into their social life than their children.
I have seen people who put more energy into their hobbies than their children.
I have seen people who put more energy into their drug habit than their children.
I have seen people who used their children as a weapon to strike back at an ex.
I have seen people who used their children as a means to secure benefits.
I have seen and read reports of horrendous abuse by parents and the people who the parents give access to their children.

I realize these aren't the situations that describe anybody on GW, but because these kinds of people exist, DSS is necessary. They don't always get it right and they have a thankless job.

She falsified my paperwork and took my child without a court date of court order I got them back but she had no basis. Dss is nothing but a legal kidnapping business
