![]() We went there with another couple and the experience was horrible. Monday night 2 weeks ago, we waited 15 minutes for our drinks to get ordered. Another 10 minutes to take our order. Had to ask for some bread they are supposed to serve while we waited one hour and a half to get our meal. The food was good but not worth the wait. It was our first and last time there. ![]() AppState1994 Never been because the specials never have the price posted on their advertisements. Will continue to go to Olive Garden instead. ![]() CanesFan We stop there often when we are in town. Good food at a reasonable price. Always had good service ![]() TVC I hate to comment on anyone's tastes...but Olive Garden is not authentic Italian food! Authentic Italian cuisine is light. Places like Olive Garden fill you up on greasy breadsticks, tons of pasta, and heavy, cheesy sauces. My mother is Italian, I've been to Italy, and lived in Italian areas of Boston and Rhode Island. Believe me, Branciforte's offers authentic Italian cuisine. There is no one kind of Italian cuisine...it is all regional, and Branciforte offers their versions of their kind of regional cuisine. Cost? It is more expensive to make smaller quantities of food. Wilkes is lucky to have a place like Branciforte's. ![]() stevers1 My wife an I ate here and found the portion sizes to be rather small for the price. I don't mind paying top dollar for top food but seafood was all overcooked, including the lobster. Mussels seemed to have never been purged as they were gritty. In conclusion, this is my first visit ever to an Italian restaurant that did not serve a side salad or at least a Caesar salad with the meal; a side salad is an additional charge above the 24.95 seafood special, which by the way is the same dish as the seafood meal on the menu for about 15 or 16 $ with a very small lobster tail added to it. Meal was $70.00 and an additional 30.00 for the $8.00 bottle of wine we were given as the wine list is outdated and not available in the advertised selections. Overall, I feel they are rather pricey and will do well to withstand the incoming olive garden. At least olive garden gives you salad with your $25.00 meal. ![]() ls0403 Food is always fantastic! I especially love the fresh salads/homemade dressing. Great wine selection. Lunch prices are a good value for the quality food you receive. Overall, based on food quality, this is the best restaurant in Wilkes. ![]() Like2Laugh This place is great. I eat there often and have never had a bad experience. Their food is great, the atmosphere is great and they have a diverse wine menu. This is certainly the best restaurant within a 60 mile radius. ![]() Beautiful*Ghost* Average food for an expensive price! Not going back there again. ![]() ms_harley2u Sorry, I will not be back, have tried it several times with different foods, much is lacking including the service. ![]() ede Great food great service worth the money ![]() dreamcarr BEST restaurant in Wilkes!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() dtomas Excellent food and attention every time we have been there. Really worth the cost. ![]() RRBTY2010 Wonderful food and atmosphere. The family that owns this restaurant are always great hosts. So far, we've not tried much from the menu as we can never get past the specials! Wait staff is great and very helpful. Good wine list. Only down side is there has been no homemade gelato the last few times we've gone. ![]() tlat57 Wonderful restaurant--thanks to everyone there for making my 65th birthday a real treat! ![]() Justin Case Too expensive for what you get. We paid $50.00 for lunch & that was 2 adults & 2 kids! ![]() orgill029 I have traveled all over the U.S. and this restaurant has great atmosphere and some of the best Italian Food Anywhere!! ![]() Peppermint5 Wonderful food! Very high quality. Pretty expensive (my boyfriend and I paid $40 for one dinner), but perfect for a special occasion like and anniversary or prom night! ![]() LittleTdec1972 Great food but a little costly for Wilkes! ![]() debbiecormany Outstanding for small NC town! North Wilkesboro should be proud that this restaurant is in their town! Have eaten there several times on my travels and food is exemplary! Courteous and friendly service too! |
