French Toast
French Toast

A tasty 10-minute breakfast or anytime treat!

2 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
6 slices of day-old bread

Optional:
powdered sugar and fruit topping OR
pancake syrup

Heat a pan on medium heat with a little butter. Not too much butter!

Beat eggs and milk in a large cup using a fork or whisk, then pour in to a bowl.

Cut the bread in half so that you have 12 halves. Dip each slice into the batter mixture, one at a time, and put directly into the pan. You can put as many as will fit in the pan.

Let fry for about 3 minutes on each side, or until it's nice and brown.

Move to a plate, and add syrup, or if you prefer, powdered sugar and fruit. Strawberry or blackberry preserves work well, and so do bananas.

You can also add whipped cream if you want.
