During the month of October 2012, the Hiddenite Center�s Lucas Mansion Gallery will feature the work of artist, Aurore Demers of Statesville. Demers� new exhibit is entitled �Universe Series.�

Aurore Demers is a native of Connecticut who has held 7 successful solo exhibits in New England states. After moving to California, Demers studied under the direction of notable Southern California artists, including Tom Rose. Demers moved to North Carolina in 2007 where she joined the Artists Guild of Statesville and the Hiddenite Center.

The Hiddenite Center will hold a Meet the Artist Reception in Demers� honor on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 3:00pm until 4:30pm at the Lucas Mansion (316 Hiddenite Church Road). The public is cordially invited to attend the reception and experience this thought provoking exhibit while enjoying light refreshments and conversation with the artist.

Aurore Demers� Universe Series will be on display at the Lucas Mansion Gallery from October 1st � October 31st 2012. The Lucas Mansion Gallery is FREE and open to the public Tuesday thru Friday from 10:00am until 4:30pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
