SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) is sponsored by the Humane Society of Wilkes (HSoW). Helping low income families get the pets spayed and neutered at a significantly reduced cost depending on income level. Sign up from 6PM-7PM the FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of every month. Next date is 6/06/12.

Must provide PROOF OF INCOME. If on public assistance FOOD STAMP (EBT) CARD or MEDICAID CARD is acceptable. Be prepared to pay the amount due because we issue a voucher to pay for the procedure.

Income $15,000 a year or below: $25 for spay/neuter.
Income between $15,000 & $35,00 a year: $55 spay or neuter dog. $40 neuter male cat. $50 spay female cat.
Income above $35,000 a voucher is issued that will entitle you to $30 off spay/neuter at participating Vet.

LAW REQUIRES all pets be current on RABIES VACCINATIONS. If dog/cat is not up to date there will be an additional charge of $7 for reduced cost rabies vaccination.
